Job insecurity in the newspaper business is a taboo subject for the Salvadoran press that needs to take the analysis and discussion, as it is sometimes used as a mechanism to affect freedom of expression .
Therefore, the Association of Journalists of El Salvador (APES), the Human Rights Institute of the UCA (IDHUCA), the Workplace (CDL) and the Union of Journalists and Allied Workers of El Salvador (SINPESS) developed The chat show "Freedom of expression and labor rights violations of journalists in El Salvador." Where met some testimony from journalists dismissed in 2007.

The Workplace (CDL) is an institution that seeks to contribute to ensuring respect for labor rights in the country. The instruments used for this are legal assistance and education.
The CDL performs all activities in order to increase the level of knowledge of different industrial sectors about their rights and frequent violations of these. This is to strengthen the labor justice system.
Works with support from the Department of Labor (USDOL), Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the Independent Monitoring Group of El Salvador (GMIES) and Human Rights Institute of the Universidad Centroamericana "Jose Simeon Cañas" (IDHUCA).
